Style of quiltmaking

My quilting style has always been something I use to express myself – I’ve never had any formal instruction.  I don’t adhere to a particular style of quilting e.g. “log cabin, Pennsylvania Dutch,  Amish or what I would call southern black patch work, to name a few styles.

If I see a painting of lines and contrasting colors, I take a photo and see what it would look like set to a quilt pattern.

Rectangles, squares, and triangles are my preference when cutting cloth.  These cuts are sometimes used singularly or in a combination of the three in the same quilt.
So, on my website you will find a wide variety of styles and patterns for sale.

The number of squares, triangles and rectangles depends on the size of the quilt, e.g. baby, toddler, pre-teen, single, queen or king.

When it comes to colours, you have a lot of choice – I sometimes use  similar shades of the same color, or light-medium and dark;   or I employ contrasting colors of purple, gray, green and pink, or alternatively deep earth tone colors of red, blue, green, black, or brown to separate and highlight the pattern.

I’m hoping you’ll like my style of quilting and that you will make a purchase and recommend me to your family and friends.  Have a leisurely viewing and if you have any questions or comments, please use the contact section of this website.
